Marine Geology, Sedimentology and Geophysics, Geology of the Olakeon, Marine Level Changes - Sedimentary Phases and Sequences, Neotectonics-Active Failures-Marine Pale Seismology, Submarine Volcanoes, Paleoceanography, Submarine Gearchaeology, Geotechnical Properties of Marine Sediments, Slope Stability, Applied Surveys for the installation of underwater cables, artificial reefs and wind farms.

Research experience:

During his 30-year career at HCMR, he has coordinated over 27 research programs and major programs, and has organized and coordinated more than 37 missions with oceanographic vessels as head of mission and has participated in more than 55 international research projects. He has published 26 papers in international journals (total impact factor 45, h-index 11) and over 85 works in international and Greek conferences, with 330 bibliographic references in total.
