Research interests:

Hydromechanical analysis and design of marine structures other than ships:
Solution methods for the first- and second- order body- wave current interaction problems, under mono- chromatic wave, combined wave- current excitation. Hydroelasticity problems. Evaluation of the mean- and slowly- varying drift loads, maximum excursions and wave drift damping.
Hydrodynamic analysis of interconnected small- or large- volume floating structures with applications to the design of several types of offshore structures for the ocean exploration and exploitation.
Hydromechanic analysis and optimum design of moored floating structures. Design and efficiency evaluation of single or interacting wave- energy converters. Floating Wind Turbines. Wind Farms. Wave Trapping. Towing tank hydrodynamic tests of ship and floating structure models.

Research experience:

Author and co-author of 50 scientific publications in peer reviewed international journals and proceedings of international conferences. Participation in 20 funded research projects. Reviewer in 4 international Journals and reviewer, scientific committee and chairman in international conferences.
