- Oceanography Postgraduate, University of Athens (1994)
- Ph.D. of the Université de la Méditerranée (Aix Marseille II) (2002). The major part of the dissertation was conducted in the IATBIC in 1997-2002, as part of the MATER -IP research project.

Research interests:

Phytoplankton dynamics (primary production, biodiversity / taxonomy, metabolism, biopsy) in relation to environmental factors and its interconnection with biogeochemical cycles and trophic relationships in planktonic food grids.

Research experience:

Since 1994, she has participated in 27 research projects (Greek / European), two national as coordinator. Participation in a multitude of oceanic missions, several as head of mission. Author of 35 works in magazines with I.F. (1131 reports, Index 17) and 76 works at conferences / scientific meetings. He is a reviewer in 9 international scientific journals.
