Research interests:

My research effort involves understanding the interaction of organic pollutant exchange between air and sea and transporting them to the marine environment from a long distance as well as understanding the occurrence of organic pollutants in the marine environment and developing modern methods of monitoring them. The interaction of aquaculture and the marine environment as well as the development of methodologies for assessing the ecological quality of coastal ecosystems is an important priority of my research effort.

Research experience:

Participated in 27 research and development projects as a scientific coordinator at national level and 16 projects in which I was responsible for the project. The work of my research effort has been presented to a large number of international journals in crisis (36 papers in Scopus) and nine of them are the first writer. The total references to my project exceed 2100 with 1776 of them referring to third party reports. Presentations at national and international conferences after a crisis are twenty-two (22) and sixty-seven (67), respectively.
